Tampa BAE Lightning Game 72: Homecoming Part II
Welcome home, Sergy!
The Tampa Bay Lightning are back on the ice tonight at 7 PM inside Amalie Arena to take on the Utah Hockey Club at 7 PM. This is probably the 2nd most anticipated home game of the season as it will be the first time Sergachev takes the ice in Tampa since being dealt away this off season.
The Bolts and Clubbers played just 5 days ago with Utah winning 6-4. Part of that loss was the Bolts having to play Halverson on ridiculously short notice and the other part was the Lightning defense completely leaving him out to dry.
The Bolts are fresh off an absolute thumping of the Penguins. They have an off day so this game will likely be handled by Vasy and, while the Lightning defense didn’t have much of a challenge from Pittsburgh’s offense, they should be much better prepared and ready to face Utah this time around.
Utah is traveling to Tampa starting a 3 game road trip and they just got beaten badly by the Detroit Red Wings. They’ve had two days off, but part of that is to travel. Still, expect them to come ready to play. They surely won’t roll over, but I think the Bolts can even up the series.
It really should be a fun game and I’m expecting a huge crowd reaction for that Sergachev tribute video. Go Bolts! See you at 7!
