Tampa BAE Lightning Game 65: Skidding into Brotherly Love
Philly Twice in Three Days
The Tampa Bay Lightning are continuing their road trip by playing against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight at 7 PM.
The Bolts have been struggling pretty mightily lately. They’re riding a 2 game losing streak and have surrendered 13 goals in their last 3 games while only scoring 7 of their own. That’s a really lopsided stat when you consider their last two games have seen them give up 8 while scoring only 1. There’s not a whole lot going right for the Bolts at the moment.
Plus, we’re likely to be down either Nikita Kucherov (illness) or Mitchell Chaffee (???) as they both have been out of the line up recently and Cam Atkinson has been recalled from Syracuse.
The Bolts really need to get out of their skid quickly if they want to regain any hopes of winning their division. At this point, the Senators are surging and on a 4-game winning streak. If the Bolts continue to skid, there is a real possibility they will need to battle their way back to securing a non wild card play off spot.
Standing in their way tonight we have the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers are riding their own losing streak at 5 games. They’ve not surrendered less than 3 goals in that streak, scored more than 1 just 2 times, and their special teams have been bad with 10 PK yield 4 goals and 13 PP netting a grand total of 0 goals. This is a team the Bolts should absolutely beat.
So, expect a 5-3 Tampa Bay loss. Kidding. (Maybe, hopefully?) Please just win.
See you at 7! Go Bolts!
