Another brutal showing for the Bolts

Not good goaltending tonight
Three losses in a row
The Tampa Bay Lightning lost for the third time in a row by a final tally of 5-1 to the Minnesota Wild. For a team that prided itself on tough defense and great goaltending, the Lightning have completely come undone after the Olympic break.
In the four games since returning, the Bolts have surrendered 18 goals. Vasy had another miserable night. His save percentage was .800. One goal was completely, unequivocally his fault as he misplayed an easy freezing attempt. The others might be a little debatable, but when your save percentage for your All Star goalie is sub .850 he deserves blame, too.
The offense has dried up. The defense is leaky and awful. The Lightning look like a shell of themselves. March is not going to get any easier. Two has become three. The Lightning cannot let three become four.
Jon Cooper has a heavy mind between his personal loss and now his team’s loss. I feel for him. He’s done a tremendous amount of good for this organization. It’s up to everyone to figure this one out, too.
Next game at Winnipeg on Thursday night.
