Stampeding Through the 2025 USF Football Roster: #16 WR Jeremiah Koger

Jeremiah Koger is my favorite USF player whose last name sounds like a regional grocery store.

    PLAYER: Jeremiah Koger

    POSITION: Wide receiver

    YEAR: Freshman

    HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6'3", 190 lbs.

HOW DID HE GET HERE? A mid-to-high three star prospect out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Koger was originally committed to Wake Forest. But the Bulls got him to campus for an official visit over the summer, and he flipped to USF shortly thereafter in late June. He signed and enrolled early and was one of a few incoming freshmen who actually joined the Bulls for Hawaii Bowl practices.

Koger’s impressive offer list also included Virginia Tech, Maryland, and NC State.

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT IN 2025? Koger is one of a few incoming freshmen where I’m actually somewhat bullish (lol) on their chances to play in 2025. That’s not a guarantee or anything like that; he’s just checking a lot of the “Early Playing Time” boxes. He enrolled early, was practicing with the team before the bowl game, plays at a position of relative need, was one of the Bulls’ higher-profile recruits, and earned some praise from Alex Golesh during spring practices. USF isn’t lacking for options at receiver, but they are lacking proven options, so Koger will certainly have a chance to stick in the rotation. Even if he doesn’t get there, I’m excited to see how he develops.
