    Some notes on USF’s schedule

2026 will mark the first time since 2001 that the Bulls will not face an SEC, Big Ten, ACC or Big 12 opponent in nonconference play.

USF’s game against Kent State on Oct. 17 was added to the schedule in January after the Bulls’ scheduled game at Alabama was postponed to 2032 because of the SEC adding a ninth conference game.

The Bulls will play four weeknight games. Last season, USF also played four weeknight games and went 4-0 in those contests. Games against Tulane, Memphis and East Carolina — three teams that finished in the top half of the American standings last season — will all be played on weeknights.

Five of the six announced kickoff windows for USF are in prime time. Last season, USF played five prime-time games and went 5-0 in those matchups.

USF’s trip to Army will be the first game between American Conference opponents during the 2026 season. It will also mark the Bulls’ first trip to West Point since 2003. The game will be USF’s first appearance on CBS Sports Network since 2023, when the Bulls played three games on the channel: a loss at Western Kentucky, a win at Navy and a win at UConn.

On Oct. 8, USF will travel to San Antonio to face UTSA at the Alamodome. Under head coach Jeff Traylor, the Roadrunners are 33-5 overall and 25-1 against conference opponents at home.

USF’s regular-season finale against Tulane will be the Bulls’ final regular-season game at Raymond James Stadium after 30 years of calling it home. Beginning in 2027, USF will play in an on-campus stadium for the first time in program history.

The Bulls went 6-0 at Raymond James Stadium last season, their first undefeated home season since 2002. USF averaged 51 points per game at Raymond James Stadium in 2025.

Kickoff times and television assignments for USF’s remaining six games will be announced during the season.
