The Tampa Bay Lightning are back on home ice inside Benchmark International Arena tonight as they take on the Columbus Bluejackets. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the Lightning will be celebrating Women in Sports Night!

This is the 3rd and final game of the regular season against the Jackets. The Lightning are 0-2-0 on the year vs CBJ. Jojo has been in net for both games and the team allowed 11 goals combined in those two match ups. Barring something cataclysmic, Vasy should see the net tonight. Hopefully, that helps the team reach a better result.

The Jackets are 6-1-3 in their last ten. They are currently two points outside of a playoff spot and are really making a push to reach the post season. Their goal scoring has been red hot as the last time they scored less than three goals was February 26th. Keeping the puck out of the net has been a bit of a challenge, however, as they have let in four goals five times in that same stretch.

Depending on which Lightning team shows up, we could very well be looking at a second game in a row where it is just a complete barn burner. The over is currently at 6.5\. And honestly, that’s not an unattractive number given how these two teams have looked recently.

I still can’t quite put together what has gotten into the Lightning since the Olympic break. The goal scoring came back against Buffalo, but special teams defense and goal tending were just horrific. I’d love to see a complete team effort tonight. Will the Bolts get back to the team they used to be? Or are we still going to see them struggle to find their identity again? Should be a good one. See you at 7! Go Bolts!
