# Tampa BAE Lightning: Game 50

The Tampa Bay Lightning are back on the ice to take on the LA Kings tonight at 7 PM inside Amalie Arena. This is the 2nd and final game of the regular season against the Kings. You’ll recall the Bolts dropped the first game against the Kings earlier this year when they went 0-fer on their California road trip.

Since then, the Bolts have just continued to flounder throughout the month of January. Meanwhile the Kings haven’t really fared much better.

Since January 4th, the Kings have gone 3-6-1\. In that 10 game span, the Kings have struggled to score pretty mightily. In 10 games, they’ve scored 17 goals—less than 2 goals a game on average.

They’ve also really struggled to defend well and keep the puck out of their net. They’ve allowed 27 goals in that same span, including a 3-0 loss last night against the Panthers.

We’ve said this a lot, but the Bolts really need to win this game. The Kings are in the middle of a 5 game road trip with this being game 4\. The Kings have gone 0-fer on this road trip and they played last night whereas the Bolts have an extra day of rest.

The excuses are thin. The wins need to start coming. This is a tired team on the heels of a back to back. They seriously need to win this one—regulation, OT, Shootout—doesn’t matter just win.
