Stampeding Through the 2025 USF Football Roster: #54 OL Braden Carter
Carter is a young lineman hoping to see his first action this fall.
PLAYER: Braden Carter
POSITION: Offensive lineman
YEAR: Redshirt freshman
HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6'6", 290 lbs.
HOW DID HE GET HERE? From Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, Georgia, a little under an hour north of Atlanta. Carter was rated a mid-three star recruit and had offers from a handful of G5 and FCS schools, including UAB, Georgia Southern, and Jacksonville State. He committed to USF late in the process, but signed shortly thereafter on early signing day in December 2023. He enrolled in the summer.
HOW WAS HIS 2024 SEASON? Carter redshirted and didn’t see any action.
WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT IN 2025? It’s unlikely that Carter sees any significant action this season, but it’ll be interesting to see if he can start earning some snaps on special teams or with the reserve units. He has the build for tackle, and that’s the position that USF seems to see him at. Of note: he’s been banged up a bit this spring, but we’ve seen nothing to indicate that he won’t be available in the fall.
