Stampeding Through the 2025 USF Football Roster: #76 OL Colin Bellomy
Travis Hunter?? More like Colin Bellomy!
PLAYER: Colin Bellomy
POSITION: Offensive lineman
YEAR: Freshman
HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6'7", 270 lbs.
HOW DID HE GET HERE? Here’s a fun one: Bellomy played defensive end originally at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, not too far from Atlanta. He started playing on the offensive line - tackle, specifically - during his junior year of high school, and picked up some impressive offers from power conference schools like Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Kansas. But when USF offered in June 2024, he committed shortly after, signed in December and enrolled in January. The recruiting services liked Bellomy, giving him a mid-three star rating.
WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT IN 2025? We’ve discussed how deep USF is at offensive line this season. It’s going to be very challenging for any incoming freshmen to break into the two deep, let alone earn any significant playing time, so I wouldn’t expect much from Bellomy this season. Still, he’s definitely a player to keep an eye on in the future - his size and athleticism make him a very exciting prospect at tackle once he’s got a year or so of college conditioning under his belt. Or perhaps he’ll become the next Travis Hunter and play both sides of the ball and win the Heisman. Both options seem equally likely.
