**PLAYER:** Tyreek Major

**POSITION:** Offensive lineman

**YEAR:** Redshirt freshman

**HEIGHT/WEIGHT:** 6'6", 320 lbs.

**HOW DID HE GET HERE?** A local man! Major played his high school ball in Tampa at Gaither and was rated as a low-to-mid three star prospect. He put together an all-Florida top three of USF, UCF and FAU, and actually committed to FAU in June 2023\. But after a visit to USF, he wound up flipping to the Bulls a couple months later, and remained locked in until early signing day.

**HOW WAS HIS 2024 SEASON?** Major played in only four regular season games, preserving his redshirt year (he played a bit in the Hawaii Bowl as well, but postseason games don’t count towards the redshirt requirement). Most of his action came on special teams, but he did play some mop-up snaps at center in the season opener against Bethune-Cookman.

**WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT IN 2025?** Probably not a lot, but that’s OK. The Bulls are very experienced on the offensive line (they have an absurd seven players in the unit who have started at least 10 games in college), and Major is still young and hasn’t cracked the two-deep yet. Though he played tackle at Gaither and is a good match for the position physically, his appearance at center against BCC suggests that the Bulls may see a future for him there. The top two on the depth chart at center - Cole Best and Mike Lofton - are both seniors, so it’s entirely possible that Major will have a chance to play a big role in 2026.
